Well, that was annoying.

This post was meant to come out Tuesday, but Patreon locked me out of my account in order to do a password reset. The problem was, when trying to do so, the screen was all white - no option to reset password at all! So, I've been emailing them back-and-forth the last two days and long story short, the issue has been resolved.

Maybe Patreon shouldn't reset people's passwords for no reason, how about we avoid that next time, okay?

Anyways, even though this Update was delayed, our releases haven't been, so if anything we're kinda back on schedule a bit? Thanks, I guess, Patreon.

Before we jump into the next releases though, I want to announce/highlight a few things..

Yearly-Pledges

About a month ago, Patreon announced a new feature to allow a yearly pledge - I meant to comment on it before, but I won't be using that option here. The nature of this project doesn't guarantee a "long-term" schedule, so it's not certain I'll even be doing this by then (I might, but you never know!) so for now, we'll stick to the regular monthly stuff. Speaking of which..

Monthly-Pledges

I want to actually make a move away having three tiers, as the difference between them is almost negligible to begin with, and the benefits are slim between them. So, starting today, effectively, Tier Two will be "disabled", and unpublished beginning next month. The benefits will be simplified - Tier One is for general support, and the new Tier Two (current Tier Three) will retain all benefits.

In addition, all card releases will be released 2-weeks early for the new Tier Two ($5) pledges, instead of just 1 week. If you're already a Tier Three supporter, you don't have to do anything - but you'll enjoy an additional week for early releases from now on.

Multiple Currencies

You're now able to pledge using your local currency, if not the $USD. A small change, but I realize now there is a vast international audience for Koikatsu, so some may find it easier pledging this way, should they choose to.

Site Overhaul / Mega+Catbox Organization

I'll be overhauling the layout for this page this month - including the Tier images, wallpaper, etc. In addition, I'll be preparing some posts/links to better organize stuff around here, including updates for the Mega and other links, which have been largely outdated for the past several months (I got lazy, okay!)

Gen 1 Legendary Pack

Awhile ago I teased an overhaul of the original Gen 1 Legendaries and placing them all in a single pack; while I still have plans to do this, things inevitably got delayed as I tried to work on them and was disatisfied with the current mods available. Since then, there actually has been ANOTHER overhaul of the sprites on the official Discord, and while they continue to work on those, I've been waiting to see how the new ones come out before actually continuing work on them. So for now, shelved.

With that all out of the way, let's jump into the previews!

What's Next?

September

We have 8 cards remaining this month, which will be split into two posts.

The first will be [Trainer] Pokemon Ranger alongside Seedot, Nuzleaf, and Shiftry.

While the Seedot family obviously appeared much sooner in our journey (by technicality..), I was planning on releasing them with Sydney, but I'm changing that. The Ranger was also one that I wanted to release while we were still in the area around Fortree City, and it happens that there's a Ranger on R-120 that uses the Seedot family. It was clearly a sign.

After that will be [Trainer] Parasol Lady and her Budew, Roselia, and Roserade.

What, have you never looked upon a Parasol Lady and thought about slamming her from behind? No? Well now hopefully you will.

Okay, she's basically just a freebie to throw in with the Roselia family - which, like before, was also one that should have came out earlier, but at this point I don't even remember the reason for not releasing her. I also decided to throw in her Gen 4 pre/evolutions, Budew and Roserade.

October

We'll be pushing Mt. Pyre back a tiny bit in order to preserve that for a larger Halloween event; which we'll be previewing in mid-October. Before then, here's what to expect:

While the change is subtle, I did manage to find a genderswap version of Tate and Liza, and simply replaced Tate with the new Tatiana sprite, leaving the original Liza. So we have the twin girls, Tatiana and Liza!

With them is Lunatone and Solrock. These are actually rather old sprites; something that has been on the table for an update on the Discord for a long time. While I was hoping they would receive a facelift by now, it doesn't look like they will anytime soon -- although I SAY THAT BUT I JUST UPDATED VULPIX AND NINETAILS AND THEY GOT SHINY NEW SPRITES THE DAY AFTER SO I DONT EVEN KNOW ANYMORE

Anyways, they still look decent enough, so whatever.

Next we'll be surfing to Sootopolis City - and on the way we'll find a few Water Moemon, such as Wailmer and Wailord. Hope you like extra THICC girls!

Clamperl, Huntail and Gorebyss will also be popping in for a spell.

Also along the way will be Relicanth and Luvdisc, though I'm not sure if they will be separate or together - part of me wants to update the Fishergal trainer, since Luvdisc's sole existence seems to be for harvesting their Heart Scales.

At last, we'll come upon the final Hoenn Gym Leader - Wallace! Er, no wait.. Juan! No, no, not him either..

Lisia! The Sootopolis Gym Leader! Little known fact, she's ACTUALLY Wallace's niece - it's canon! Even though she has an Altaria, she'll be using her uncle's Moemon, Corphish and Crawdaunt:

Which have these beautiful new sprites (in fact there may even be slightly polished newer versions out now), so those will be fun to make.

Lastly, we'll also be running into the final Legendary Titan, Regice.

Not much else to say. I'm excited!

There's LOTS more to come, and we're very rapidly nearing completion of Season 3 - Hoenn. To put it in perspective, these previews are only covering the first half of October, but there we'll have released 2 Elite Four members by the end of October!
