Nincada, Ninjask, & Shedinja are here!

Before we jump into them, I do want to apologize for the late night post. My computer crashed earlier while I was doing some final touches and I lost about an hour of work, but MOSTLY on back-end stuff. It actually crashed shortly after saving Ninjask, so thank God for that.

Second, these cards are a bit more unique in some ways as opposed to others, so we'll go into that in more detail with each one. But, overall, expect certain changes to be seen in the future..

First up, Nincada. Unlike other small-sized Moemon, Nincada has some tweaks done to her body to make her even tinier. While I normally simply apply Height to -100 to reflect smaller Moemon (I know it messes with certain animations, but we're going for size "realism" here!), which is true for Nincada, she also has smaller scaling applied to her waist, legs, and arms, so they appear a bit stockier/shorter, reducing her overall height and making her all that more Moe~

The other thing I'm trying with her is "shadow coloration". Sometimes, particularly with White-haired Moemon, you may notice a slight tinge of coloration in the White. If you look at Nincada's sprite, you'll see that the base of her hair (and outfit) is white, but "highlighting" it is a slight green tinge. This is difficult to capture with 3D models, so in the past I've left it alone. However, as I've been getting more experienced with MatEdit, I took this opportunity to apply a green tint to the "Shadow Color" option. The base is still weight, but a green tint will appear in certain lighting with Nincada.

There's a lot of potential with options like this in the future, so hopefully it looks good.

Quick side note, but as always, my cards look best with Anime Style 3 shadowing with the following options:

These can be adjusted slightly, although I tend to use this as a base and adjust other lighting options in game to achieve a particular look. I highly recommend leaving Outline Thickness to 0, however, as some of you may have noticed a face outline glitch (particularly around the nose), which I've been unable to really fix. I do love the Outline Thickness option, but unfortunately until I can fix that issue, my cards won't be fully compatible with that option without completely overhauling the face.

Ninjask has many of the old techniques in place to replicate her look: headband and triangle accessories with a MatEdit shader applied to replicate a "gold" frame, large, red sphere objects with the "goo" shader, transparency to 1, to mimic reflective, glass orb earrings, and wings with a simple custom texture applied since it's 2020 and we STILL DON'T HAVE BUG WINGS IN THIS GAME.

Oh, and I gave her face markings for a bit more personality.

^^ Before we talk about Shedinja, it was at this point in typing up this post that I had to go edit ANOTHER Sprite for her to insert above because it was another thing I lost in the crash earlier. No big deal, that took 1 minute, tops. The bigger problem is that I was working on something in the background, basically just an .xcf file that contains all of the materials needed to, essentially, make the card fronts that I use for, well, these cards. I actually had to overhaul it earlier and put all of the current Moemon into Gen-subfolders while also re-organizing the Shiny/Regular and Text options and blahblahblah.. Long story short, I didn't save before my PC crashed so I lost a TON of work.

Anyways...

Shedinja was a fuck-load of fun to make and actually has a few unique options to her. One of them is her mouth, which has been edited to be a blue-ish grey (well, more blue than grey, really). This, in combination with her pale skin, dead-eyes and rustic hair, gives her a bit of an angelic corpse look, which honestly is not something I really thought of associating with anything until we came across Shedinja.

Her wings also came out better than I thought when I was planning this. She uses some wings probably from some game or anime I'm unaware of, but the texture is just the plain rustic color, matching almost perfectly up with the actual Moemon.

She also has this hole-thing in her back. It's canon, but I added a tattoo underneath because it looked cool.

See? It's there. Idk, maybe you can, like, stick your dick in it.

Also, it's at this point I realized she has pigtails. Why does she have pigtails? She didn't have pigtails when I made her. Something must have broke, somewhere, somehow. Faulty modded hair, I'm guessing, since it's a newly added hair recently.

Whatever, I'm not fixing it, it looks fine anyways.

It fucking clips though.

Note: Believe it or not, I still have more stuff to talk about, but it's simply too much. So, I'll be doing another Update post sometime this week, to go over a bunch of stuff. Meanwhile, the releases this week might be a little different, I'm not sure yet. Basically, I'm trying to reorganize everything and on top of EVERYTHING else, things are even more messy and disorganized.

Blahblahblah, you get the idea, now have a picture of a Gastly I've been working on, coming soon probably maybe etc etc
