Feraligatr is reacting to the Mega Stone!

Mega Feraligatr, like Typhlosion, is based upon this artwork found on a fansite, though loosely, of course.

Original Megas are always a struggle because you must ask yourself what you're trying to achieve. With the official Megas, there were clear goals established, powering the fuck out of certain Pokemon, yes, but also enhancing a Pokemon's existing strengths (Steelix's Defense), making a favorite Pokemon more viable (Beedrill), or for altering a Pokemon's type to add variety in the pool (Charizard Y).

So with this some original Mega Evolutions in the past, I try to apply one of those standards, but also - what looks good? It allows some creative liberty with these girls, and it doesn't have to just apply to Moemon. In all creative outlets, it's important to have a base, or foundation, and use tools available to create something unique.

Mega Feraligatr lacks a bit in the outfit department, though she has a full set, it's basic appearances, and 3 of them are here previous' evolutions main outfits. The rest are plain, nothing inspirational, and even her main outfit consists of 1 piece.

But, even simple things could end up looking pretty good when mixed together just right.

Here's her card:

Hope you enjoy, or at least get some inspiration from her!

(And by the way, before anyone asks, YES, I have been spelling Feraligatr's name correctly. Fun fact, it was originally intended to be Feraligator, but there was a 10-character limit in Gen 2, so when they were translating the names over for the English Gold/Silver, they realized it wouldn't fit and just removed the 'o' - at least this is the popular theory!)
