Update #4 - Megas, Shinies, Scenes & Trainers! (Patreon)

Happy Tuesday!

We have a big week ahead of us, but before we talk about that, I wanted to take a moment to overview some of the highlights the past few days, in case you missed out on them.

Mega Charizard X & Others!

First up, Mega Charizard X was just released today, so go grab that card from the other post - it's available to Tier 3+ Patrons at the moment, as all early access cards are - but will be publicly available next week.. when Charizard Y comes out! Yep, Charizard Y was 2nd top voted. As for all four releases, here's the schedule:

Today: Mega Charizard X
Aug 13: Mega Charizard Y
Aug 20: Mega Blastoise
Aug 27: Mega Venusaur

And of course, public release will be the week after each release.

Shiny Moemon!

I didn't announce it yet, but as some have requested, I have released the first Shiny Moemon. There won't be blog posts announcing these, they'll simply be uploaded to the new Shiny folder found on the Mega link at the bottom of every post and on the front page - in other words, you have to keep an eye out for them, just like real Shiny Pokemon!

The first three, as seen above, are the Charmander family cards. As Shinies are always a simple color change, these are relatively easy to do - although I do have to edit a new card frame with the Shiny Moemon sprite for each one, it isn't that difficult. That said, I really only feel good about investing time in making them if a few conditions are met:

1) The base Moemon card is "finalized/great quality", like the new Charmander family cards are - in other words, cards that I'm unlikely to "redo" in the near future.
2) The shiny version is distinct enough (Vulpix's Shiny is literally the same fucking color)
3) There's demand or it's a popular card
4) If I have the time!

In other words, don't expect a ton of official Shinies too much! :P

Regarding Scenes..

I was planning on releasing Route 3 today, but it's unfortunately simply not ready. So rather than releasing an unfinished scene, I'm just going to hold off on it for now. Sorry! I'm still working behind-the-scenes (heh) on getting a set schedule for scenes, but at this point the general idea is simply "when it's ready"!

Regarding Trainers...

Next one up is this Thursday! It's Red! Well, a female version of Red. She was previewed in a previous post, but has been updated since then. Not much more to say about her until Thursday, so check back then!

Regarding this week's schedule...

We have a total of 8 Moemon coming out this week, plus the Trainer card, and that's all by Sunday! Here's the current planned schedule starting tomorrow:

Aug 7th - Clefairy/Clefable
Aug 8th - Trainer: Red!
Aug 9th - Vulpix/Ninetails
Aug 10th - Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff
Aug 11th - Zubat/Golbat

Ironically, next week and the week after have even more planned stuff! So keep an eye out!
