Hey all,

As you know, the Switzerland tip was a success in the form that I have eight new Inside the Cockpits lined up. Up top is a little clip how we got the French (Swiss built) M.S. 406 (Swiss: D-3801) out of its hangar.

But that is not all. End of the month, I will be filming at the RAF Museum (Date to be confirmed by them), beginning of September I will be visiting one of the biggest aircraft collections in Germany and later that month, another filming date is set in the UK for jets.

Additional updates and a full filming schedule, along with the specific aircraft is to follow!

Any questions? Let me know!

Note on human perception in film.

Re: “From Failure to Icon- Supermarine Spitfire [ft. My≤ IX MK 356]” Ref: counter 0:50.: Note your figure in transition, standing before one plane and then standing before the next.: The first time i saw it, i thought it was a perfect transition from one shot to the next. In fact, your figure was notably bigger in the second shot, (and here’s the point).: I smoothed it out in my head. Another example.: “8 1/2” by Fellini. The transition in a dream, from when Guido’s mother gives him a Motherly kiss which changes to a romantic kiss. ( Yikes.! ) Then the transition to him kissing his wife, who is wearing his mother’s clothes. Again, when i first saw it, i was impressed with how smooth it was- and again, it turned out it was rough and i had smoothed it out in my head. And finally- In the opening scenes of “2001”, when the early human threw a big bone into the air and it changed it to the spacecraft in flight: i smoothed it out. It was in fact, quite a rough transition. I like that about us.
