Hey all,

As work on my TBD Devastator video continues, I've been busy collecting information for upcoming episodes. On the one hand, I visited the RAF Museum's archive for some prime data on the R.E.8 two-seater (WW1) and Albatros D Va (WW1). The Albatros script is 90% complete, while I have the majority of required notes on the R.E.8. The aim is to make these two aircraft, which the museum has in their arsenal, as the first pilot episodes in a series of videos filmed there. While this is a bit 'late' one might say, considering that the Centenary has only just passed, the opportunity to film one of these early birds is too hard to pass up.

Additionally, I'll be going into the RAF archive again soon for information on interruptor gears and gunsights (this being another request by a Kommodore supporter). Heading back next week for another run.

As well as that, yesterday I visited the British National Archives. I had a look at files purtaining information on Operation Jubilee and Husky. The aim was to find something that could show me what the Allies had learned in terms of air support during seaborne invasions from both operations, and applied in Normandy '44. I have found some information that I still need to evaluate but there might be some good pointers in the files. What is somewhat amusing is that the official combined reports seem to paint a very positive light on the individual contributions by, for example, the RAF, RN and the Army, but that the Annexed documents written by these service branches themselves are a lot more forthright in their evaluation. I am hoping to also again return next week.

Any questions, please let me know down below!
