because I've wanted to draw a Sticks the Badger expansion since forever, but could never bring myself to do it because it had already been done before and it had been done better. At the time I felt like if I couldn't do it better or at least differently-enough then there's no point doing it at all. Since then I've come to just not care as much about that anymore, and using the same context for the growth in Koji's pics in mine and calling it a homage was chosen as my way of reflecting that
