Didyouknow? Tron was the movie that inspired John Lasseter to found Pixar. He was impressed with the technology and suggested to Disney's "Nine Old Men" that the possibilities be pursued more, and was promptly fired. He founded Pixar as a computer manufacturer that produced animated shorts to try to sell their Pixar Image Computer to film studios, one of which being Knick Knack in 1988. People were more impressed with the shorts themselves than the computers that made them, so Pixar's business became animation instead of manufacturing. Without Tron, there would be no Sunny Miami...as well as basically all of Pixar. In a world without Tron, there is no Toy Story, no Monsters Inc., no Finding Nemo, no Incredibles, no Wall-E, no Up, no Inside Out, no Coco, and no Onward. Lemme tell you, that's not a world I want to live in.
