Paintable Tails!

Included as a separate download are two styles of tails with two different versions each.

NoTexture - Doesn't have it's own texture and takes it from the back of the werewolf body, which means it will have the same paint job as the wolf.

Textured - Has a transparent texture that adopts some of the overall color from the werewolf, which means you can select from the swatches for the closest match and then paint over it to really fine-tune the color.

*Both can be used together without conflict!

These are accessories found in the bracelet section of CAS and remain stationary, as the tails don't have a skeleton to animate. As one of the gurus said, tails clip with a LOT of stuff, sims, doors, chairs, etc., so it's up to you to decide if you're okay with that! :)

Animalistic Werewolf Legs!

One of the biggest criticisms I've seen of the new Werewolves pack is the "uncanny valley" and "Cats: The Musical" look that they seem to have, which can probably be largely attributed to the entirely human legs they have. Well, here are some fully articulated, fully paintable wolf-like legs to save the day!

This is the werewolf bottom mesh that has been spliced with my mod's beast form to give it much more animal characteristics. The texture is taken from the werewolf body, which means they are completely paintable like any other part of the sim! There are some small texture issues like very minor overlapping areas where paint can bleed onto the opposite leg, but this is easily fixable. Also, the claw texture is taken from your sims fingernails, which means they will match their manicure! Some nails use a different texture area, which means they won't perfectly apply to the claws, but most nails work.

I've included an override version, which replaces the nude werewolf leg mesh and will apply to any werewolf going pants-less, and a standalone version if you'd rather pick and choose which werewolves have these legs. They won't conflict with each other, but there's really no point in having both. Installation is just like anything else, just place whichever version you want directly into your mods folder!

Just a forewarning: THESE ARE NOT PERFECT. The mesh is very different from regular sim legs, which means they might clip, the morphs might look a little janky sometimes, and there are a few texture seams, but they turned out much better than I expected.

Enjoy! :)

Are these intended to be incompatible with clothes, or is that an accident? The tails take part of their texture from the texture space of shirt sleeves. :(

I am having issues with these tails. The tails take the texture from the clothing, so I can't wear clothing with the tail. I tried painting it by hand, but the colours don't work properly, so I either can't wear clothes in were-form, or I can't have a tail that's anything but a variation of different greys.
