How strange I finish this page a month to the day since the last one…

Anyway, as always, thank you so much for supporting this story as we approach the end of the year. Don’t forget to vote on whether the archive of past pages should be moved back here, and please look forward to the next page which I’m hoping to finish by the time the year turns… we shall see.

Just one TL Note this time, focused on that huge statue in the forecourt.

That would be this statue in Azabu-Jūban, Tokyo, affectionately termed ‘Kimi’.  It has a fairly sad back story to it, immortalized in the famous-in-Japan song, 赤い靴 Akai Kutsu, (Red Shoes), but the upshot is that it’s become emblematic of the parental sacrifices made for the good of their offspring.  Funnily enough, the reason I know of the statue at all was because in Episode 97 of my favourite series, Ami happened to be sitting next to it, reflecting on whether she actually did want to become a doctor like her mother.
