I wanted to post an update of how the hair is going, and I can finally say I'm done with it, including its 4 versions. It's going to be a nightmare porting it to game hahaha.

Yesterday I did some testing with hat in game, and I had to remake the fluffy ball because it looked incredibly bad (sims 4 shaders really don't like cooperating with alpha 😂) and I changed the bake of the texture, now it feels a bit softer. I used the same lighting as last year's hats.

Lastly, I just want to warn you that this hair is quite too high regarding poly, which is normal due to braids. It's around 55k and I tried to reduce it as much as I could without breaking the mesh. My only option is getting rid of all the little hairs around braids but that would make them a bit meh. Of course LODs will be way lower, I always reduce them a lot so that full mesh is displayed only when you're close to the sim.

Also, the versions with hats won't work with bicolour/chunky textures, as the hat needs the part of the texture that is used in those.

And for those that left a comment in previous WIP, thank you so so so much 🥰 I just read all of your messages and it makes me so happy that you liked this hair! As for the question regarding making it for other ages, I had this in mid, but the braids will be shorter (where the knot is would be the end of the braid) as kids don't have that amount of hair.

As I'm writing this I'm starting to fear the amount of hours I'll have to put into making this hahahaha. If maths don't fail me, all of that would be 16 hairs 😂 (4x baby, 4x children, 4x adult + 2 chunky for adult + 2 bicolour for adult). If I see it will take me too much time (I still want to make one for guys) I will make for the other ages just hat-less version.
