I’ve recorded a Patreon update. Unfortunately I didn’t have any extra clips to add in this month to break it up a bit so I’d recommend either watching it in small instalments or putting in on in the background while you do something else. That’s of course if you want to watch/hear it at all.

This has been one of those months where little has happened off screen. However if anyone was interested in hearing about the results of not enabling the comments for a new video for the first few days, most of the first half hour is taken up talking about this.

I wonder about the intelligence behind the YT algorithm when it recommends videos, including yours, that I've already watched. Sometimes old titles from long ago and not just those seen in pre-release preview. I wonder if that promotes repeat viewing or something I'm missing?

Yes I agree, the algorithm is definitely far less intelligent than many seem to assume. All of my own videos are recommended back to me. I mean that’s day one, first thing in the morning algorithm programming - the kind of thing that should be sorted before the first coffee has gone cold. Given they haven’t sorted something so basic - then the rest is random at best.

I’d recommend either watching it in small instalments or putting in on in the background while you do something else.... like falling asleep? Personally finding a good podcast or such to calmly fall asleep to is a wonderful thing, and quite hard to find. I have spent so so many nights in the company of Mayo and Kermode talking generally calm, flat film nonsense.... you should be proud!
