It’s time for another one-sided conversation from a nutter in an untidy bedroom.

As usual there’s an audio version of this in a separate post for the three people who prefer things heard and not seen.

UPDATE re the random spam 'word salad' comments - their purpose has been determined.

It looks like the mystery has been solved - matsimpsk linked to a video about spamming and it seems that the spammers post these random comments in an attempt to appear as real legit commenters in the eyes of the YouTube spam detectors, so that they can then go on to post spam scam links elsewhere on YouTube without getting auto-detected as quickly.

If a new account gets created and the first thing it posts is a dodgy link to a crypto pyramid scheme - it'd get auto-spotted and kicked off straight away. However if that's just one of thousands of comments posted by that account over a longer period of time then it'll likely fly under the radar.  So if you see these - report them, flag them or delete them if possible - to help prevent scams.

I hate the flixzone bot comments (convos like the crypo bots described) on my videos. Bot ads are a real problem.

I saw this in the news and it reminded me about your Apple Fitness issue. Apparently Apple's "solution" is to use AirPlay to stream the fitness content to the Mac in the next version of the macOS. Of course this requires an iPhone or iPad. Article: https://www.macrumors.com/2021/06/16/apple-fitness-plus-will-work-with-airplay-to-mac/ So I suppose when the next macOS launches, there will at least be a work-around? Although I fully agree that they should revive the Front Row app / experience and give you you large-UI and remote control tailored apps on the Mac... just like on the Apple TV. These products are all using the same chipset, and they always considered the Apple TV a "hobby" product, so I doubt there is any concern of cannibalizing Apple TV sales if they had the functionality on the Mac. But sadly I don't know if Apple sees this as an issue that needs fixing.

I noticed that in the announcement too - I hope it’s just a matter of time too until there’s some kind of native Mac experience. There’s little point in turning on and unlocking two devices and airplaying from the first to the second, rather than just using the first one on its own.
