Over the last couple of months I accumulated a few music donations, so it seemed a sensible idea to open them together in one video.
While not all the music featured is something I’d choose to listen to, exposure in a video like this really can help these independent artists and small companies get noticed. I’ve received some lovely letters in the past from people after their music or product was featured and gave them a much needed boost. So the purpose of this video is really to help others out.

To keep things visually interesting I used a different piece of equipment for each demonstration. This took a lot more time than I anticipated. All audio was recorded live into the camera (routed via a device to attenuate the levels).

Hope you have a good weekend. Take care.

Opening music donations…and more

In this video I’m showing the pre-recorded music I’ve received over the last couple of months. There’s also a story about how I helped give a name to an album. For transparency I have tagged this video as a Paid Promotion as I have received most of these things for free. The Camera of Sound Cassette & LP was purchased via Bandcamp. No money has changed hands and the links shown below are not affiliated. A) Patrons usually have early access to videos. I'll show the first version of a video on Patreon and often the feedback I get results in a video going through further revisions to improve it. e.g. Fix audio issues, clarify points, add extra footage or cut extraneous things out. The video that goes live on youtube is the final version. PFAQ (Predicted FAQ) Q) Why is there a picture of a cheese sandwich on screen at the beginning? A) A cheese sandwich indicates that this is a quickly-assembled video with few frills. There might be the odd dodgy edit and/or sound glitch.

I hope you are happy in what you have caused....I picked up a very cheap Pioneer Elite DVD player (that will play almost every audio format) and am now collecting SACD...will your chaos never stop? :)

That’s definitely the best (well most sensible) way to play SACDs. I plan to cover them properly at some point. I just picked a bundle up a few weeks ago.

some awesome players on show there! Specially like the blue netMD player... Just ordered something similar to try to save my netMD recorders from burn out... :D
