A long overdue look at a quirky old piece of tech combining slide photos with sound.

I hope to get to work on an update video in the next few days, aiming to have this out before Christmas, so we’ll chat more then.

Have a great weekend and keep hanging in there.

3M Sound on Slide system. DIY Multimedia Presentations - 1969 style

The 3M Sound On Slide system was a 35mm slide projector and audio player/recorder which enabled anyone to assemble and play multimedia presentations...back in 1969. Here’s a demo. --------------- SUBSCRIBE ------------------ http://www.youtube.com/user/Techmoan?sub_confirmation=1 ------------- Merchandise ----------------- https://teespring.com/stores/techmoan-merch ------------- SUPPORT --------------- This channel can be supported through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/techmoan *******Patrons usually have early access to videos******* ---------- Outro Music ----------- Over Time - Vibe Tracks https://youtu.be/VSSswVZSgJw ------ Outro Sound Effect ------ ThatSFXGuy - https://youtu.be/5M3-ZV5-QDM ------ AFFILIATED LINKS/ADVERTISING NOTICE ------- All links are Affiliated where possible. A) Patrons usually have early access to videos. I'll show the first version of a video on Patreon and often the feedback I get results in a video going through further revisions to improve it. e.g. Fix audio issues, clarify points, add extra footage or cut extraneous things out. The video that goes live on youtube is the final version.

Favourite bit was when you began playing back, looked right into the camera and said, "That's not me. Definitely not." Very fascinating bit of tech, this. Across a handful of your videos, I love seeing how various companies found ways to integrate magnetic recording one way or another. Thanks for all the obscure and not-as-obscure tech you've shared with us this year, Mat. All the very best to the new year.

I like these "from the garage" videos (this and the xmas lights one) a fun change from the workbench. Also love the return of the fancy shirts and jackets!

The jacket was a necessity in the Garage at this time of year. In the house it usually gets far too hot in the tiny 'studio' with all the lights on.
