This is a long review of something that will likely only appeal to a very niche audience. When reviewing something I find it very difficult to cut corners, and ignore features, but I can see that if this was a Hollywood film they'd have sacked the director, re-edited it down to half it's length and released it straight to video.

This video could have done with coming out a day earlier as this morning the Yi 360 camera shown in the video was the subject of an Amazon Flash Deal in the UK with 20% off at £283.99. Now whilst that deal has been and gone, if you are interested in buying this one I'd suggest hanging on until the next inevitable price reduction.

I apologise for not delivering a Christmas episode this year, I just plain ran out of time. However for the last month or so I have been trying to think of a good idea for a Christmas video and couldn't, so it's probably for the best. Without a strong idea, it would probably have been as well received as the 1978 Star Wars TV Christmas Special.

I am planning on doing an end-of-year video recap, just for Patrons, where I look back at some of my most and least popular videos of 2017 and share a few behind the scenes tales about the making of each. So I'll start work on that one over the holiday.

In the meantime, have a great Christmas...and while you still have time, pre-charge and apply software updates for any consoles, games, phones or tablets you have bought as gifts for family members to avoid Christmas day frustrations.

Have a good one,

Mat.

That Blue Screen of Death might be worth investigating further. There are basically two reasons why you might get a BSOD: 1) Faulty hardware 2) A bug in device driver software I'm not sure what ddkmd.sys does on your particular system, but it may not have been installed by the Yi. Google it for a bit and see what shows up.

It was only a little Intel NUC...I presumed the 5K Video was just too much for it to handle. Either that or I need to update my video codecs.
