I bought a new LG UltraWide™ monitor that I like so much I made a video about. It’s not a brand new product to the market, but its new to me. This is the first 21:9 monitor I’ve used, and after using this one I wouldn't buy a traditional aspect ratio monitor again.

My hope is that this video won’t suffer from the negative reception some of the computer related videos have generated in the past. There seem to be a group of people who go crazy whenever I use an Apple product in a video. But it’s not just Macs, you may have noticed my SmartPlug video drew the wrath of a vehemently anti-Amazon Echo lobby. From my experience, making a video about computers can be like treading on eggshells.

So in order to try and avoid any problems this time, I’ve done my best to downplay the computer or operating system as being irrelevant, so fingers crossed, there won’t be any issues, but we’ll find out when it goes public tomorrow.

In the meantime, I hope you like the video and I aim to get back to retro tech for the next video.

In topic: Great video, great product, great usage and great demonstration. I really like the conzept of just dock your laptop. With multiple adaptors, it is possible to connect everything just via Thunderbolt or USB 3. And I think I prefer that over a docking station. Off topic: In Windows, just drag the window with the cursor right to the screen edges and they snap to half or full screen. Then, you should really move the screen up a bit. Do your backbone/neck a favor and put something under the screen (or mount it to the wall, good chance for another review) and stop using a laptop sitting on your legs. Laptops belong on desks!

You'll see that I've got a monitor arm for my new video....however as I wear varifocals I still have to look slightly down on the screen to be able to see it - if I look out of the top of my glasses it's out of focus.
