Mah Dude - Grand Cross

A lot of the story and villain motivation will make sense more if you think of the Gems as a mix of robots and parasites. They expand, colonize and conquer for the sake of doing so, not caring for life or even efficiency itself. Garnet, Rose and the other Crystal Gems are the *exception*, and they're all seen as defective by Homeworld. Peridot ends up being my favorite character specifically because she was born into that system and we see her unlearn it.
