Steven Universe used to release in very sporadic, bursty schedules, where episodes would release in batches between long breaks. Due to that, a lot of episodes are structured like mini-arcs, and whether or not you interpret those arcs as contained within one season is where we get that split. Narratively, Season 2 ends when in a couple episodes from now, but according to the release schedule, this is where "Season 2" ends. As for cards and titles and stuff, I'd recommend using the schedule where Season 2 ends a bit later because that's the one most fans are used to.
