The thing the people are using you call a over knob is actually a Pitch pipe, it a real thing musicians use to try and match their voice or instruments to a perfect pitch, its a round whistle with a bunch holes that play perfect pitches, each pitch corresponds to a different dead world in this show, I think it fits perfectly along with the little noise that accompanies it
