There is a very cringy moment with thorax whe feels the love slipping away. But this finale is still all the same

As you mentioned, what better pony to try to show Chrysalis that she should embrace the individuality of her subjects than Starlight? Starlight has made a fair number of blunders since her reformation, but this is the episode that proves to us (and to her) that she truly has changed. In finally realizing this, she is able to overcome her own self-doubt and help save Equestria. And, of course, we get The Great and Powerful Trixie, of all ponies, becoming a hero of Equestria as well. Nobody could have predicted that. Even Trixie herself says, "I'm just a performer. This is princess-level stuff we're dealing with!" And now we're onto Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree. Afterwards, we get season 7. One of my personal favorites!

I love this finale, I know most people don’t like the new designs of the changeling but I think there are ok

Again I’m gonna kiss this finales A$$. I love it so much. The changeling are still changeling and I loved that. My out look on them changeling is you don’t have to have a lead up to change all you need it to want to change to be better. And feeding off love is all they new cuz of an abusive leader. And now that they know a knew way to live without harming anyone I can see why they changed. It’s a metamorphosis. They were bugs they changed and new a Cacune and sprouted new wings to show they changed. Like a butterfly. The bronies react to this finale is one of my favs it halarious. And great. I love when they take the focus off the main six and focus on other backgroundish characters. This finale was smart since pony’s and use magic use thorax to distract them. The changeling capture was great even tho they could have done that a bit better like not let her get captured. The starlight and thorax switch during the end was great. Starlight going off her personal past and reflecting it on to chrysalis which was great. Although I liked why they changed I didn’t necessarily like the new designs for the changeling. But I got used to it. Season 7 is a great one and one of the best can’t wait to see it again thru your eyes. Also the changeling flipped spots with all the ponies while starlight and trixie were on their trip. And they didn’t take the train so it was a long walk back and forth

Another really solid finale, and a large part of why Seasons 4, 5, and 6 are what I consider the high point of the series (I would also include the first half of Season 7 for spoiler reasons). Chrysalis is easily one of the top villains, and getting a whole two-parter with this little dysfunctional group of misfits provides a nice change of pace; rather than a group of fast friends, they're trying to save the world while they can barely get along. The new changeling designs are often called skittlebugs among the fandom due to their garish colors. I liked that Chrysalis rejected Starlight's offer; it makes her stand out far more as a villain, and she didn't get nearly enough of an arc in this episode to justify a redemption moment.

I love band-of-misfits stories like this one. Even better, we got to see Starlight overcome her fear of leadership. Sometimes, an event happens to make you doubt yourself and it can take a long time (if ever) for you to regain your confidence. It took Trixie telling her that she was a great leader before she really started to believe it again. To me, the lesson here is, if you see someone who needs a pep talk, share your love and friendship with them because you might do them a world of good. Yes, I ship Starlight and Trixie. Best relationship ever!

I really love this finale. It gives a really different vibe to see other characters than the mane6 save the day. Even though I like the changelings' new designs, I hate Thorax's. His horns and new color scheme are really jarring to look at.

Trixie is one of the highlights of these episodes. She steps up in a way that nobody could have expected her, the self sacrifice play she pulled also shows how much she's matured since her first appearance. When it all came down on the line Trixie showed she was both a good and a hero, the most unexpected of heroes in many respects.
