Hey just so ya know, there's an extended version of this episode. I forgot what it covered but it was quite a bit longer. But the main point was the 'unfinished business' between Lee and Kara, and why there was that rift between them at the beginning of the season. So that was covered sufficiently I think, but maybe there's more in the extended cut that answers some of your questions. Also, idk if you noticed, but it's implied that Bill and Laura were smoking weed together. :P I think that's what Saul was smoking too, in the first few eps.
