i find it really interesting that, despite the fact that the people in the fiona and cake universe are supposed to be our characters just gender flipped, they seem like fundamentally different characters like for example, princess bubblegum is pretty hardcore, shes tough and sciencey and sharp and strong. prince gumball on the other hand just feels softer, having missions like delivering daisy chains to fluffy people and making cream puffs as a thank you- he didn't even wanna go out cause it was raining and he made fiona carry him!! princess bubblegum would never act like that, imo! (not knocking pg, he's just not like pb at all imo) it makes sense because they are characters in a fanfiction, and i like to think its a nod to how fandoms often mischaracterize what characters are actually like in canon. idk, i just find the whole thing super fascinating, so i enjoy the little looks into this alternate universe!! also, Marshall Lee is hot lol (he is voiced by Donald Glover, who is also hot) i usually see a lot of praise for the fiona and cake episodes, so i appreciate your perspective! i never thought of it like that but i can defo see where ur coming from when u compare it to the mlp thing, i didn't really like that either ^^;;

Man that's pretty brave, these episodes typically considered some of the best. I don't really get how they're creepy or annoying personally but that's interesting, never heard anyone say that before. But you've definitely incurred the wrath of Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee's fangirls lol, they're very loved characters.

Maybe they will grow on me, I just dont get it honestly, its like a show in a show and they just change the personalities. Fiona is fine, I think its Cake and her big ass and sexy dancing that freaked me out lol

One thing to keep in mind when seeing how Bonnie's more hardcore side not being shown is that this story is from marcys perspective which is important she's likely just making fun of Bonnie's more uptight side like when she spit on bonnie and she just flipped out which anyone would but Bonnie's reaction was pretty intense even more so then prince bubblegums in this episode

Its also pretty interesting how marceline makes herself the antagonist of her own story

Shame you’re not into these episodes, but I can see how Cake would put you off. I typically enjoy them, but I also don’t much care for cake.

Same here actually. I love Fionna, and the Ice Queen is cool (no pun intended, though it is an ice pun). But Cake just doesn't compare to Jake. I'm not sure if it's the voice or the attitude or it she's just missing what makes Jake so funny, but something about her doesn't click with me.

Fionna is also the only one I like. Well, and the Ice Queen, but she doesn't have the depth of Simon obviously. Still a cool character. I don't care for Cake, Gumball, or Marshall Lee. I never understood girls who like guys who "look cool" but act bad anyway.
