THIS is the episode where everything hit home for me in this series and Ice King went from being an amusing Bowser pastiche to one of my top all-time favorite characters. . It was a different title card. The title cards are usually worth a look, not only for being excellent art, they also often give clues to the episodes. . Well. Crying again. Poor Simon. . I trust you noted all the Christmas-y elements that occurred like Simon coming down the chimney, dressing in red, having a red-nosed helper, gift-giving, etc. . This is the only time I've heard Tom Kenny play a character completely 'straight' (i.e. not comedic or melodramatic). That alone was pretty amazing.
