Back to back episodes covering first the history of Equestria, then the history of Ponyville. We got to meet Diamond Tiara's father, Filthy Rich, who owes a lot to the Apples. He also seems to be a relatively nice pony, unlike his daughter. Interesting that Diamond's best friend, Silver Spoon, was the first to clap her hooves for Granny Smith. Also interesting that only Applejack, Big Mac, and Granny Smith were options for Family Appreciation Day. Where are Apple Bloom's parents?

Brony Time

Another good world building episode. We also get to learn a bit more about granny smith and her life. This episode elevated her from "ha ha she is old and forgets things." to wow she is actually very wise in smart.

Seraphem

In which we see that Diamond Tiara's father is a pretty swell guy. And we get one of the most emotional, powerful scenes in the entire series. Granny's story still gives me chills and liquid pride. But... Apple "Strudel" a pony wearing lederhosen, looks Scotish? Somewhere, Mad Munchkin and AnY are both screaming.
