The Terminal- Thank you very much for a marvelous movie reaction to a movie I love so much, Jay!! I really love this movie! Steven Spielberg and all of its writers and actors do such a wonderful job making it!! Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci, Diego Luna, Zoe Saldana, Chi McBride, and Kumar Pullana are all fantastic in The Terminal! Yes... Stanley Tucci is an absolute douchebag throughout this movie, and I hate him. Which is a real credit to Stanley Tucci as an actor, because I love him as an actor, but I absolutely, hate his character in this movie, as if he were a real person. He's fantastic as this man we both want to see get hit by a car in the end. Ha! Ha! Ha! Most of all... I absolutely love, love, love the friendships that Viktor finds with Enrique, Mulroy, Gupta, and Dolores, as well as with everyone else working in the terminal, including the other security officers!! What fantastic chemistry between each of these characters and their actors! By the end of the movie, their friendships, and everyone's love for Victor as their friend is absolutely real and believable. I love it!! And I especially love, love, love the smaller storyline with Viktor helping Enrique win Dolores' heart. It's so adorable. Their relationship is bizarre, in an adorable kind of way. And I love it!! Because even though Enrique and Dolores never are shown interacting with one another at all until they marry throughout this movie, you can see how much Enrique does love her, and you can see how much his love for her means to Dolores when she accepts his proposal. What a beautiful relationship! As for the love story between Viktor and Amelia... It's an annoying, and yet sweet story within this movie, even though it ends sadly because she gives up her chance at real happiness so she can help Viktor reach his dream to enter New York for the final autograph of the jazz musician. It's so sad. Yes... Ameilia is a fool for continuing to date a married scumbag for all these years, but it shows that she's incredibly broken because she believes that she's not worthy of anyone's love but this scumbag. Least of all Viktor's love. So, I still feel badly for her. Overall... I love this movie very much!! And I am so, so happy you loved watching The Terminal for me too! So, thank you so very much, Jay! Sincerely, Heidi
