They do share memories. At least that's implied. They just react to what they did, just like someone who did something in a drunken stupor might get pissed at themselves afterwards. Demi Moore is hitting HERSELF physically in front of the mirror and shower in one scene when she tells her other self to stop it because they are the same. They are, as they keep saying, ONE. They just react differently. She did it all to herself. She couldn't stop it, because it was better to live abusing herself to at least have some sense of her youth. At least how I see it. It really is off the rails and knockers, wonderfully, at times xD
