Thanks for the reaction. I think I have to remember that this is more of a teen drama so there are going to be more idiotic things that happen otherwise I would agree with you on your points about how some of the characters are straight up ridiculous. I think we both feel the same way about John B. I never liked him and am glad there are so many other characters that are better that help with the plot. What I came to realize watching your reaction is that almost all of the teen characters have “daddy” issues. That's the best way I could describe the insanity. Some of plot holes you mention, I can clear up. In the previous episode, while they are on the runway, they show everyone leaving. As the last van is driving away, that is when Ward starts forcing Sarah on the plane. No one saw him really do this but John B because he had binoculars and was watching. So, John B is running to the runway to try to protect Sarah and that’s when he rams the gate. It was JJ and Pope standing there in front of the gate trying to stop him; but when they hear sirens they leave because they basically say, there is no way they are going to jail over this. There was no way they were coming back to the scene and just went to the closest hideout thinking they will come across John B later. After Peterkin dies, and they are at the pier, they see the flyer and that is when they realize that their car was on the flyer. It seems like they only thing they can do is take off and try to hide. Best place to go is their neck of the woods since they know the cops don’t really go on their side of town. It was late in the day when they let John B. out for him to go hide alone. The whole incident with the plane and the shooting happened earlier in the day so it’s evening now and why it was dark. The timeline tracks. Ward is working overtime at this point. He had to let Peterkin die in his mind so she doesn’t arrest him (he admitted earlier in one of the episodes that he killed those other two guys so I am sure all of that would have come out) and also to protect Rafe so he doesn’t go down for actually shooting Peterkin. Remember, he may not like how Rafe acts, but he always bails him out. He wants to maintain control over everyone in his family. It’s also why he thinks he can gaslight Sarah. Pope is mentally unstable because he is upset that he knows he threw away his scholarship when he ran out of his interview. He took a gamble on the gold so when he saw the plane fly off, he knew he made the wrong choice and it’s not just a bad decision but now he knows he can’t face his dad. I think that messed him up more. So after smoking all the weed he could manage, I think he kind of started thinking about what else does he care about and that’s when he turned his attention to Kiara. I don’t think Kiara makes the best decisions either and I think she was still in John B mode when Pope approached her. What I find funny is how you think you can predict what will happen, and it never works out like that. The insanity of the show will not be tamed! And then you will switch and be like, Ward is the most sensible one here and then Ward will do something completely off the rails and you are like, well, so much for that. Okay, Pope is the normal one. Nope, not anymore! LOL! My advice, stick with JJ. We already know he is crazy, makes bad decisions but at the end of the day, he will be the most loyal and consistently solid of them all. Hang in there. Does it get better? I don’t know. Sometimes I think I just like watching mindless television with a little bit of mystery and crazy mixed in.
