Given this month is NaNoWriMo for me, the typical no build in November, but I'll bring you up to speed how things are going on that front so far.

December's Build is still slated to be the Dean rewrite. It's taking longer than I would've liked but surgically removing and editing parts of shared scenes to be more in-line with Dean's revisions has taken a lot more of a careful hand than being able to put down fresh content in an empty space. Thankfully, most of the hard early scenes are handled and I'll be tackling the brunt of his route specific things starting tomorrow. I have a plan, and I know what I want to accomplish, it's just a delicate balancing act of having a more respectable character that still embodies sex-positive bear without being a creep about it.

But let's talk more about TCM stuff. For those not keeping tabs on the server, we have a name for our MC at last. His name is Ryker, though called Ricky or Rick by characters in-game as part of an ongoing gag that it's more marketable. We also have color schemes for him, the god of merchants Ebisu, and Ryker's designated pack mule Gruff.

Ignore the numbers for now, as I'll cover what they are in the public post so that everyone is brought up to speed at once if you aren't already familiar with what they are. Current plan is to have a full deck of cards ready before Christmas (hopefully) so that's one less thing that needs to be sorted out before we have something playable. While it'd be fine to have something without the art, I think people as a general rule would prefer to see the nice art than go without.

I'm working on one other card at the moment that's taken a bit of a backseat to NaNoWriMo, sure does look familiar, doesn't he?

Our resident rat boi is returning for a small part in TCM as well given we need someone to fill his role for the plot to happen anyway. Plus, admittedly he's probably my favourite character of the bunch to potentially reuse across projects. Also worth noting he still has his hands, he just has additional ghosts to help him out now.

I do also want to try and space merch out better this time around rather than leave it close to the project's end. What would people want though? I've heard people already wanting a Gruff plushie but we're a ways off that as the game doesn't exist, but do people want stickers? Lanyards? Pins?

And on the topic of plushies, while my intention was to aim to get Thanatos done as one next, it turns out it is very likely to be another character instead due to how vocal people on the server (and in my DMs) have been about getting a specific character done before we get the rat. I'll enter talks with PPP about it soon to see viability and alike, but that's all I'll say on it for now. Look forward to something soon though.

I'm a big fan of keychains, pins, and stickers. Those feel relatively easy to make compared to a plush, so might be good for early merch. Looking forward to more!

Ooh, or real life versions of the in-game cards could be cool too.
