Hey guys, was meaning to do this yesterday but I got caught up in writing with NaNo and figured I'd check in with something that's been plaguing me for a while.

As people may or may not be aware, we're moving to 1080p at some point, thus the reworked sprites. This also means reworked CGs for those that need them. But now we're at an odd state for CGs needed for the game between now and when that 1080p upgrade happens.

I pose the question to you fine folk who are essentially funding this thing.

Would you rather a release with fully rendered CGs, knowing that story progress across routes will be slower,

or,

Do you want to get more story/progress and are fine with mockup CGs until I get a chance to properly do them up for 1080p?

The intention is to absolutely do fully rendered CGs, but given the push lately to have more story I figured I'd throw the option out there. Already I'm looking at potentially needing to do something like... 2-3 CGs per route update given we're at that point of the game and it'd be much easier to just do sketches given what the nature of the CGs are.

If it helps people decide: Tyson's route is completely written and needs 3 CGs to properly work. We're 10 days out so already this is not looking feasible if people want Tyson content next update if we're wanting fully rendered CGs. Dean's in a similar boat and needs maybe 2.

But then we have Hoss, who can get away with maybe 1 CG, so fully rendered that's possibly more doable but he didn't win the popularity poll. As far as the launch date itself though, I'm not budging unless something literally catches fire.

I'm fine with having the mock-ups CGs for now because I really want the story to progress (I can't stress enough how you got me intrigued to discover everything that's happening) so I don't mind.

I would rather continue the story. The art is a nice touch but I am someone who enjoys words more then images. Plus I would replay the routes when the CG are fully fleshed out to enjoy it once again.

I'm fine with having mock-ups CGs and let the story continue. Because I really love the story and the narrative of the game. I love the art used in the game also, but it can be added later, and the game will be fine. I know that you are developing the game alone so it’s incredible how much the game progress every update. So Grizz congratulations, right now Password is still my favorite Visual Novel.

Take your time with the fully colored CGs. While they are nice, they are kind of the cherry on top. At this point, I think most of us patrons are thirsty for more story content.

I do love to see the fully colored CGs, but truth be told, I think it's fair at this point to think most people know everything is still a WIP with the transition happening eventually, so mock-ups make perfect sense to me.

honestly I think the writing it the novels strongest point, no offence to the art though I even like the current sprites I mean they can be better but so can anything. However I think the writing is the stronger point so I'd be happy with sketches and more story, just goes to show how well written the characters are (exception of Roswell imo but I don't really think he can be fixed if the conflict with Tyson is necessary. A good best friend would put their friends feelings in front of their own personal feelings, like letting Dave know he isn't happy about it and dislikes him but wont cause a scene for Dave's sake).
