Universe Tim + Album Update (Patreon)

Hear an early cut of the new Turbo Volcano song in development, Universe Tim.

This is a rough edit - it's the first song using my new analog synthesizer gear. The middle is VERY rough because my headphone adapter broke and I'm waiting for a new one. I mix loud and my family almost killed me yesterday after hearing the beat for like three hours straight. So.... mixing and fx and levels are still a good bit off, but the backbone is there. I'm going to re-record the middle using some different settings this week, but it'll be similar.

ALBUM UPDATE

First of all, this is a lot of fun. For the first time in a while, I've found a way to express my creative output while also incorporating it into my real life work which means that I can actually spend time on it. Unlike drawing and writing which always got shoved into a tiny corner, the music has real value because I'm saving time and money on marketing. Do you like space tuned laser disco? We all win.

There will be a first Turbo Volcano album. Barring any digital distribution issues (which I don't forsee) there will be a digital album.

Will there be a physical album? Personally, I just think it would be cool. This first of many, hopefully.

I talked to my old replicator and have some quotes on a vinyl. 

I'm thinking of 180g vinyl, green vinyl, and an amazing cover. I could cut back and do standard black vinyl. I hate to do it, but this might have to be a Kickstarter to cover the setup and printing costs. 

Is there any interest in vinyl? Should I just hold out for super deluxe double disk and gatefold in 2023? The vinyl pressing processing takes 6 months so if we want anything for the end of this year I need to make a decision soon. Just curious. It'll be digital regardless.
