So this will be one of the courses I'll release in 2018 - this setup including adding dynamics using both POP grains and bullet faux soft body techniques.

I will also do a course on procedurally modelling this baseball and thread...

And then I've been asked to do a course on POP grains, so I might try to do that too, as that as well is gonna follow the traditional type of tutorial/course presentation...

As for my Houdini TD course, that has turned out to be a bit more tricky to organize than I anticipated as I want that to be focusing more on concepts, mindset and how to approach problem solving in Houdini - so it became a bit of a philosophical conundrum for me, figuring how to best present it... But I have a pretty good idea for how I will do that - check the comments to this post..

So I'm getting there. Kinda. :D

Houdini - Spiral Spider web (update March 2018)

This is an upcoming course on building a dynamic spider web setup that adapts to its surroundings. * Get updates on www.twitter.com/Farmfield and www.facebook.com/Farmfield or support me on www.patreon.com/Farmfield for early access to these clips & scene files :) *

Got it! It will be very interesting. I'd be glad to be in the audience, let me know if you think it could work with skype or something

Haha, no, it's more about the approach - the idea is i need to trigger my autopilot and just start doing my thing, and then I can hopefully use that as the audio - or as a script. Well, we'll see, lots of other stuff I gotta do before I can get into this thing so... :)

cool, sounds like a goodplan, you have to start it and see how it goes!

This is great, so tempted to render this with water droplets with some DOF!

Farmfield

Yeah, when I release this course I'll leave the rendering to the viewers - I'm just gonna cover the net and some dynamics alternatives with grains and a bullet constraints faux softbody and perhaps the wire solver... Though perhaps not a bad idea to add a web-droplets part - or I'll just do that separately. But building a setup to get a good droplet/web connective surface and distribution could be fun. :) Something like this... <a href="http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b16nature_animals_insects004.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b16nature_animals_insects004.jpg</a>
