It's a really cool bit of wordbuilding that the dragonkin genders don't map neatly to mammal genders. The "male" dragonkin is an egg-layer, their "penis" is an ovipositor, the "female" dragonkin provide semen and do the gestation... I wonder if this is true of the actual dragons, too? Being unexpectedly egg-filled (oviplenished?) by a "male" dragon would be a memorable experience for a human lady...

The tails sticking out of their head houses most of their brain. It’s a really inefficient system, so it takes dragonkin a few weeks of doing almost literally nothing before they unlock their brain potential.
