Many a struggling village has struck a bargain with a lesser Fae, gaining bountiful harvests and astounding fertility, both in food and folk, in exchange for the occasional ritual and promised child. Faelings are not hostile by default, but it’s a good idea to pretend you’re a warlock while you’re visiting.

Even without the enhanced fertility, I'm pretty sure a Fae pact is just a good deal given that whatever children a village hands over probably weren't going to live past 20 and now everyone else *probably* won't starve.

I love that I kind of can't tell which one is the faeling

They’re both Faelings, usually it’s a whole village that strikes the bargain. Less power than a full Warlock but much stronger than regular kin.

Can I say I love your inclusion of poc in your art and design of a fantasy world... it makes me feel scene in sexy representation

We don't even know something bad happens to the kids.

Now that’s what I’m talking about, WARLOCKS AND FAELINGS ALL THE WAY

Might I use them as a replacement for the minor pacts you previously had? Cause I liked to offer the "Bad Deal" restriction pacts of the old warlock in my games and my players are still tempted by them at times.

PocketPingPong

Ohhhhh! I really like that. It would be a neat encounter if the party came to a village the day of the offering ceremony. There would certainly be chaos of some kind.

Been awhile since I checked out the fae but I’m guessing the fae they were given to affects their motif
