Foolish Frost

Shuttered lanterns. They allow you to almost kill the light for a moment, or turn it into a directional light. Directional light can light ahead without lighting around you, making you less of an easy target on approach, but let's things sneak up behind you.

I really like "one light source covers the whole party" it's simple, and given how often I've seen groups forget/skim over light sources, probably just the best way to go for many play groups.
