Essential Monsters pt1 by KrimsonKatt

Monsters that are a must in any RPG! Enemy 1: Slime. A droplet-shaped gooey creature that is the most basic starting enemy in any RPG. Seems to possess a happy grin and large cartoon eyes, but do not be fooled! These are merely painted on in order to attract prey! Though slimes aren't very good at it. They're so weak that it takes days of constant exposure to their toxic bodies in order to melt even the first layer of skin off. Thank god they don't have to actually eat to survive, or do anything else really. 2: Une. A small plant that lies on the ground of the forest. It appears as a flat flower lined with thorns, and can multiply itself rapidly through spores to overwhelm it's prey. From far away it looks like just a whirthing mass of small vines, but look closer and within the vines is a maw of teeth spitting out clouds of spores! When the terrors first appeared after the crimson meteor fell these creatures were widely feared due to the spores making people who come in contact with it sick with a disgusting parasitic disease, but now with modern medicine every newborn is given vaccines to protect against the spores. With this vaccine present in 99.9% of the population, humanity is pretty much fully immune to the spores, making this enemy a very small threat besides an annoyance for farmers and gardeners when one pops up on the yard. 3: Stirge. A small bat-like creature that flies through caves as well as in the dead of night to suck on it's victims fresh blood. Unlike vampires, this will not turn you into one of them, and they are extremely susceptible to fire and light. They also prefer to not drink human blood. Apparently our blood tastes bad? At least that's what monsters purified of the curse tend to say. They like our brains with all their biological cornerstone far more. Rather, these creatures tend to prey on the blood of farm animals, particularly cattle and chickens. Watch out farmers, once the striges come for you, you will lose one of your friends every night! As long as they're feathered or horned that is. Prepare your fire orbs and your magicite lanterns, it's stirge hunting time!

Essential Monsters pt2 by KrimsonKatt

A group of three more monsters that you can find in nearly every RPG ever made. 1: Revenant. A zombie-like creature that appears at night to feast on human brains. It is said that when a human dies with enough regret in their heart, the flesh left on their corpse comes alive and begins controlling the remaining body to consume more human flesh, adding the flesh consumed to it's body in a vain attempt to "become human" again. When the revenant spirit takes control of human flesh, all the blood and organs disappear from the vessel to become a humanoid mound of browned flesh and hollow bone. No eyes to see, no lungs to breath, to mind to think, no ears to hear. A fell creature only bend on one thing: gluttony. Too bad they go down in a single blast of Arcfire. If they were any stronger, just one of them could easily be the main antagonist of a horror movie franchise! 2: Bonewalker. A revenant who has failed to collect enough flesh to maintain it's form, remaining as only a bunch of bones. Surprisingly, this makes the revenant far stronger. Without their constant need to consume flesh to maintain itself, Bonewalkers are able to become smarter, faster, more agile, and just overall a much more dangerous opponent without having the appetite of the average fast food enjoyer. They still go down in a single Arcfire though. 3: Vampires. The stalkers of the night. The bloodlust beasts. The ones of the deep darkness. Those guys that say "Bwah Bwah Bwah" way too much. And that one weird kid in 6th grade named Vlad. Vampires are humans that have willingly given up their humanity in search of power and eternal youth. In becoming a vampire, these former-humans gain tremendous magickal might as well as a constantly regenerating, ageless body. This comes at the cost of becoming EXTREMELY photophobic and weak to fire and light magick. Even gazing at the sun for a second can cause so much pain to a vampire that it can blind them for over 100 years, send them into epileptic shock for days, and probably get them an appointment or two with their vam-therepist to work out their trauma. Vampires can only be killed by a strike to the heart in order to temporarily remove their regeneration factor, which in turn also makes them instantly denigrate in sunlight like the undead they derive their power from. This is traditionally accomplished by a stake to a chest, but a spear, rapier, or a really large pencil can also do the trick. (Where do people get pencils that large anyways?) Most vampires appear as pale skinned, frail humanoids with piercing red eyes and usually wearing either the elegant clothes of a noble (if they can afford it) or dark, mysterious robes to show off how cool and edgy they are. They also tend to carry powerful mystic tomes of incredible might. Nerds to the end, I suppose.

The Jotun are nude except for cloth covering their privates. Jotun have silver skin and white hair. They have a giant bone for a club. Jotun come as male or female and this one happens to be female. NUMBER _2 Ettin: These are two headed green giants and are more muscular than skinny. They have two heads and often talk to one another. They have a brown leather tunic ripped off at the sleeves and beaten up pants, an outfit they force tailors to make or the tailors become a morsel. The Ettin carry a club that is a giant tree branch. One head has facial hair and no hair on top and the other head has hair on top and no facial hair. NUMBER_3 Eoten: These are giants that are handsome and wear clothes that look like of a commoner. The Eoten can return to normal size if he wants but he insists that giant was his normal size. He carries with him a large slender sword.

Bizarre Monsters By KrimsonKatt

"A group of three bizarre monsters with wild designs that appeared from my dreams.

1: Motormouth. A raggedy steam-powered cyborg with a mechanical, steam-powered mouth and jaw. His body is mostly flesh and blood, the only mechanical parts being his super strong jaw and various pumps and exhausts coming out of his back. His eyes wild, bulging, and are pure black with glowing orange pupils. With how powerful Motormouth is, his mere presence can strike fear and terror into anyone nearby causing fits of delusion, panic, and insanity. His stance is lumbering and sort of hunch-backy, and his main attacks involving using his mechanical jaw to absolutely destroy foes, always dealing 99999 physical damage with his signature ""crunch"" art. When at low HP he begins charging up an attack called ""Tick-Tick-Boom"" for 3 turns. If those three turns expire Motormouth will explode creating a crater 1/3rd the size of the planet and prompting a non-standard game over. He will also use this move if the entire party falls to him in battle.

2: King Kill. A demon prince from the nightmare dimension. He appears as a demon with spiky teeth and his eyes and forehead wrapped in decaying bandages. His lower half is skeletal and chained to a coffin while 4 bat wings, two stretched outwards and two covering his lower half, reach out from his back. He is very bat-like in design, as he is the king of all bats. His main arts include pestilence which inflicts random status effects on all foes, bad breath which deals damage to 4 random foes while inflicting different status effects, malice which deals dark damage to all foes while making them weak to dark attacks for 2 turns, and the ever-infamous death spell which instantly kills all foes weak to dark. You'll need heavy dark and status resistance if you want to win this fight. Losing to him prompts a non standard game over where he sends you into an eternal nightmare. 3: Wonder Wizard: A crazy old man wizard guy with rainbow sparkly robes, wielding a wacky wand covered in garish designs. His eyes have rainbows in them and he flails has arms wildly while screaming ""I am da wonder wizard! I gonna wiz all over u!"" as a form of intimidation. It doesn't work. His fight consists of using the strongest spells in the game (Arcfire, Arcfrost, Arcthunder, and Arcwind) based on what you're weak to while using mystic curse (lowers MP and MDF for all foes) to weaken your party. He also has a powerful status move called ""Wiz on You"" which inflicts every debuff onto one party member with a 30% chance to miss. Losing to him prompts a non standard game over where he turns your party into sentient toilets.
