Eldritch Abominations II WIP sketches! (Patreon)

Let's kick off Wednesday with some cool looking monsters shall we?

Eldritch Abominations II, as suggested by Anonfox93 and voted by our community, have been sketched!

 The Support: A minion who acts as both Shaccad Yoggoths eyes and ears and provides support for her minions/extension in battle.                                        Denizen of the Abyss: Another extension/servant of another unknown eldritch being.                                                                                                                                   The Ultimate Minion: Shaccad Yoggoth's strongest minion having won many battles and completed many victories for her, he has been awarded with many modifications and powers from her making him a threat almost as dangerous as the Eldritch god herself. -Anonfox93

I wanted to try a fresher more creative approach for these since I took a more traditional route with the previous Hound, Gazer and Tyrant design.

This approach resulted in the Denizen of the abyss being literally a skeleton wrapped up in the living Darkness our Eldritch God irradiates, only half of its body peeking through what could or could not be a hole leading into an abyss of darkness.

The Support, I wanted a creature which felt more oriented towards staying on the backline of combat, but still prove to be a challenge. I wanted to communicate that scout feeling with its pose and I figured a head made up of many eyes would seal this deal!

Last up for the Ultimate Minion, I basically took the Tyrant from the previous release, but incorporated more elements present in Shaccad'Yoggoth, but not quite above Shaccad in the power scale, I feel this design does tell that story!

All in all our Eldritch Darkness Abomination archetype sure is shaping up, and with the upcomign 4-direction map sprite for these in our rewards at the end of the month, coupled with the previous month eldritch abomination map sprites, some very interesting combat and narrative scenarios open up I think!
