Hello again! 

Today I also felt like polishing and sharing the sketch for this week's Librarium Animated release, Black Ant Queen Charlotte as suggested by Ashlee Vella-Croft!

 Just thought the black ant creatures could do with a queen to rule them. -Ashlee Vella-Croft

Since Ashlee gave me free reign for this one's design in general, I felt like going for a feral looking insect, but holding distinctive elements to put it above the rest of the black ants!

Animated Black Ant Queen Charlotte will be arriving to Librarium this coming weekend!

Very nice I thought you were going to go a different way. I like this direction it fits in well with the Insect Queen and those other ants.

I was close to giving it a humanoid form, similar to the insect queen, but since it had to fit with the original black ants, I opted for the more insect like look we have here! I definitely want to do a humanoid one later on! haha

What inspiration gave rise to the hair? I thought it was a predator when I first saw the head before I saw the description.

Basically I've been drawing a lot of wavy tentacles lately due to the eldritch abominations so the inspiration stuck haha. I noticed they worked really well as hair with the Eldritch Tyrant, so I felt like bringing that element back for this one! Also I wanted a distinctive queenish element, so I felt these tentacles could work out nicely here to double as hair, a crown, and as a cool element :D
