Hey everyone!

As it was announced last week, I've been playing around with the concept of having a monthly release of an SD hero character!

Swift Illusion mentioned an interesting point of concern, which was how characters are less forgiving when it comes to usable settings, thus we would have to be very general early on with the type of characters which we might start producing.

Either way, the concept is still cooking and I would love to hear all concerns, suggestions and ideas you guys might have! and while we check that out, I want to give you guys an early feel and look at what these SD heroes would be like through a patron exclusive early look at them!

Attached to this post you will find all the necessary files to play around with Zidh. I'd love to hear any feedback, suggestions or improvement ideas so that when the time comes for Librarium heroes, we go all out together!

I was thinking potentially all of us here can define the 4 base heroes to be released on the first official release, covering the typical rpg party, but that's just one idea!

Oh also! As you can see we have a new face portrait for Zidh, the full resolution file for it will be a bonus to the first update cycle this month!

As an added bonus this beta zip file also includes an update 4-direction map sprite, which you can get started with using as well :)

Zidh is looking really cool, but I have just one suggestion: can we have hero battlers that dont follow the other battlers style? Like, Zidh is chibbi-like while the rest of the battlers have a decent anatomy in them, as if they dont fit in the same universe(which I like to call the SNES FF syndrome)

Hello! you mean you like this Chibi SD proportion for the Librarium Heroes line? Or that you would prefer if the Librarium hero line had the same proportions as other Librarium humanoid characters

That I would like to see heros as the same proportions of other humanoid battlers from before.

Since we want to be general with the selected SD characters, why not start off by making characters that represent different jobs/classes that fantasy characters in RPG typically have. example, Knight,Mage,Archer,Fighter,Rogue, etc.

this is just a suggestion but would it be possible to gel alot map sprites for like static enemies

I am a little late on this, but I have a couple of suggestions actually. A) For one, as previously suggested, having characters for more conventional RPG classes would be most welcomed. Usability is a big thing here, and whereas I see this being usable, I don't see it as being the most conventional of RPG characters, which is what I specifically like but may not resonate with everyone else B) Static enemies would be welcome for each of these, as would bust shots (Both to the left and to the right). This would get the most out of these being used. C) Facial expressions would be nice, at the very least it could be interesting to offer these over as a Patreon reward D) Making some of these characters more/less gender ambiguous might be something to consider, as to give people the option to work with these sort of options when it comes to their game.

All great ideas Alterity! Ill definitely take some of these into account when revamping!
