More progress with the summoned creatures!

And speaking of summoning who is actually implementing summons and the like in their games? How are you handling it? Do you have to fight the summon before it joins you?

I was thinking that my characters would have to collect fragments of their spirit of in optional elemental dungeons.

I'm planning on characters having to fight the summons to get their spirit orb type things and then use a skill learn system to acquire the ability to summon them. Gotta get the system ironed out first though. SRD has a plugin that SHOULD do what I want, but I need to set everything up

I'm making a super difficult dungeon for each of them and at the back is the summon as a hard boss fight. If you win, you unlock the summon.

Sealed away by the King, in order for the player to discover these beings, they must first locate the Seer. She can sense where the Summons are located. From there they must first find the sacred Key to unlock the door. Once opened, there is a series of tasks that need to be taken before unsealing them. Once fully unsealed they must battle the summon to test their true intentions. Summons are very rigorous to obtain, only because they are functioning sort of like a mix of FFVIII and FFX. There's a Junctioning System, but once summoned they replace the party.

Wow!!! That's really cool. Is it like Type 0 where there's a time limit until the summons leave or is it for the duration of the battle?

They can be dismissed. However, they will remain on the field til dismissed, killed, or end of battle
