Hi everybody!

So, I've came back from my vacation and started to review my campaign and goals a bit. It's been a while I hadn't updated the homepage so I took some time to straighten it. It also made me realize how I don't communicate enough or at least am not clear enough about my goal and where I'm at. I usually communicate through posts but people might not take the time to check older post to see what was explained before. So I'll try to prepare a more global way to sum up what the heck I'm doing and where I'm at with Glassix 2 which is a huge project. I'll share some of it right away!

Let's start with Glassix which last post dates back from April 22nd... Quite a while. The game has not been forgotten but due to some complications on CarpeNoctem side, we were a biiiiit delayed... Anyway, I got his files now and Glassix 0.79 should be out today or tomorrow. This version will contain the last 3 missing possession events for Kana, Eimi and Yae so that each girl in the game has her own possession events. On that specific spell, I've been asked why not give full control of the girls during possession so you could play them in place of the main character. The short answer would be it requires too many images to produce if we had wanted to add sex interactions between girls (which would be the main point of such a spell)... This is one of the reason I wanted to switch to 3D, in Glassix 2, you'll have full control of that. Same with similar spells such as time stop which should be much more fun to play in Glassix 2 in the long run. We'll get there eventually. Back to v0.79 content, it'll also contain the missing images during the "girlfriend night" event for 6 girls as well as the missing daily pimping events for 8 girls. Once v0.79 is out, the only remaining missing stuff would be some sexy outfit image variations for 9 girls which I had planned to do but after some quick math, it might be a lot of work for little result. Each girl would require 50+ images to generate with an outdated studio which would require several days of full time grunt work. The naked version of such images is already there so there is no black "Missing image" problem, it would only show the sexy outfit instead of the naked image during the relate events. Since I'm quite lazy, the missing images do not cause any problem, would like to finally consider Glassix 1 complete and would like to focus on Glassix 2, I'm planning to release a poll for you to decide if I should still work on those missing image or not. If you decide to skip this, this would mean Glassix 1 will be moved to v1.0 and considered complete (not bug free though) and there won't be new content or new images added to the game only some bug fix.

As for Glassix 2, the content planned for v0.8 is the Free mode which will allow players to inject there own custom characters in any city and fill the remaining with generic NPCs. Once done, you'll be able to play any of those characters, even the randomly generated NPCs if you wish. That's for its basic version. Later, we'll add random goals such as corrupting specific NPCs, get a promotion or job and so on which would give you bonus karma. Such goals would be optional of course and could be disabled if you prefer to play worry free. Besides this, you can expect some new daily life animations since it's currently quite lacking in the game. At the moment, it's mostly some sitting animations so variations may be limited in content but it will at least make NPCs sit a bit differently instead of a copy/paste pose. Once more locations are added. If I can finish both those points before the end of the month and there' time remaining, I'll also try to work on the global illumination feature which should enhanced the visual quality of the game since characters and rooms are currently quite blend at the moment due to this lack of light reflection. 

On the downside, I had to reduce my work time on the projects to about half time each month due to lack of support. With the transition between Glassix 1 and Glassix 2 and the lack of sex content or proper story in Glassix 2, this is an understandable result. There are also some complaints about how Glassix 2 is not really similar to Glassix (due to character models or the way it plays) and could have been named something else. However, I still think this is the right way to go for the series. When I started Glassix, my aim was to create fun adult sandbox game where you had real control over the girls you corrupt. I think I have achieved my goal as far as I could in 2D and felt the limitations, be it with outfits or spells. Glassix 2 goal is still to deliver the best adult sandbox game where you'll have full control over your girl, even more than in Glassix. Moreover it also follows the events of Glassix 1 bad end. The visual novel side might be reduced since it's a 3D game but it gives more freedom with outfits, animations, spells and gameplay where I'll be able to deliver the full potential of some fun spells such as possession, invisibility or time stop. Since no images render are required, I'll be able to add as many outfits as I want and have quite a stock bought from Daz already prepared but requiring some processing to fit the game so it'll come a bit at a time. As for the character models, they come from Daz3D which in my opinion are the best character models commercially available you can find online with the most content at disposal if you have the money. Though I'm using a bit of an outdated version of the models, I still find them hot enough for my own taste. Migrating to newer versions is not possible since the outfits I've prepared would not be compatible and it would require too much work to fix that. Some preview images I've released of the game are not really flattering after a double check but I've still some work to do on the shaders and lighting aspects so the end result should be much better and I'll then update the previews.

That's about it for now. Quite a lot of work planned for this month!
