Hi guys,

Here is another post about what you can expect in Lust Complex v0.2.

The basic idea of the game is to pay back a huge debt, pretty common. To earn money, there are currently 4 ways planned :

  • The rent
  • Streaming income from the spy cams
  • Extorting your tenants
  • Pimping your tenants

Early game, the 2 first choices of this list will be the main source of income. Since I wanted to make the game a little more interesting, rather than have a plain fixed rent per room, I've put on a rent bargaining feature which will allow the player to try and figure out the best bargain they can get from a tenant. This takes the form of a simple slider you can drag left or right to choose the amount.

Tenants having different jobs, personality and traits, it will impact how much they earn and are willing to spare for the rent. Some will be willing to pay more before being dissatisfied while other will complain easily about an average rent.

When using the newspaper to find tenants, information will be quite limited and the player will have a set number of trials to bargain with the girls (again depending on her personality and traits). A rent offer too high will have a chance to be refused, the higher the offer, the more chance to be refused. There is also a small trick where the girl could actually accept the offer but instead refuse just to try to get the rent even lower and trying the same initially refused offer a second time could be accepted. After several refusals (or even only one for some pesky tenants) depending again on the girl parameters, the offer might be withdrawn.

This feature allows the player to control things a bit better. If you're looking for money, going for a high rent offer is the way to go but that'll cost you some negative gossip each week, lowering your reputation. On the opposite, a low rent will help getting positive gossip.

The rent can be changed once per week so there is not much risk to try things however, if the new rent becomes higher than the original rent, the tenant satisfaction will drop and if too low, she might decide to move out, giving you bad gossip in the process.

You can also kick out a tenant before she decides to move out, having a lower gossip penalty, which means players could simply farm low quality tenants at first to get quick income and expand their rooms faster or on the contrary, stick with the tenant to increase reputation until you can get a better tenant who will accept a higher rent more easily.

In the end, this feature should make the early game more entertaining by giving different ways to go at it.

I'll post about the blackmail feature in my next post.

Thanks for your time and support!
