Continuing on the post Naturalis v1.3 status - custom soft physics:

While I've definitely made progress, it's turned out quite challenging to copy everything necessary from the existing soft physics mesh to the new one and make it behave identically. Most importantly, there is unfortunately one setting in the original soft physics meshes that cannot be enabled for a new mesh, called "useSimulation". This essentially determines a large part of how the soft physics joints are updated and how they drive the skin vertex positions, and the quality of the simulation is much better with it enabled. Enabling it would need VAM itself to be modified to allow it. Hope is not lost though - I've contacted Meshed about it and he's open to the idea of releasing a minor patch to support this. I'll keep you posted. 

Since I don't know how long it'll take for a patch to be released and it's not 100% done deal, I'll just go ahead and shift focus. I'll wrap up v1.3 with a few improvements, trying to tackle the calibration system to better support quick calibrations when loading looks, and get atom scale support working properly (continuing where I left in v1.2).
