Hello, a few big announcements coming.

First, thanks for your support in January! It's been a pretty good month. In this month, the TittyMagic Hub resource passed over 1 million total downloads. Also, the number of ratings is 69. Nice!

Despite the slow start, things got rolling efficiently and I'm very happy with the direction that development is heading now. That direction will culminate in the merging of TittyMagic and BootyMagic into a single multi-script plugin - BodyMagic. Wait, what?

Before we get into that, the second announcement is that alongside the release of BodyMagic (the first alpha version of it, exact date is TBD), a new Enthusiast tier will be published, priced at 8 EUR per month. It will replace the current 5 EUR tier and have the same benefits - so continuing to get the same benefits will require joining the new tier. This is the way to do it since the pricing of an existing tier cannot be changed.

The price increase is in small part a response to everything getting more expensive.  However, the intent is that you also get more for what you pay. It's a commitment to more active development, and more consistent activity month to month. In addition, I'm considering increasing the early access period that has previously been roughly 1 month to 5-6 weeks to ensure there's better overlap between the early access release and other exclusive releases such as new alpha versions.

The work towards merging the plugins is already underway. There are some great advantages in doing this, both from a technical standpoint and in terms of the user experience.

First, a major technical advantage is much easier co-development of each plugin. Given that they are literally sharing code in the same programming environment, implementing new features to both plugins simultaneously is much easier.

Secondly, this means that starting with the eventual TittyMagic v6 and BootyMagic v1 early access releases, they will only be available bundled up into BodyMagic. The BodyMagic package will contain three cslist files: one for each plugin to be loaded independently, and one to load both at the same time. In the future the latest versions of both plugins will be easily available in one download, and you will only need to load one cslist to use both.

As a side note, with a name like BodyMagic, it makes sense to consider adding functionality that isn't strictly related to breast or glute physics. Possibilities include things like morph oscillations for parts of the body that don't have soft physics, general collider improvements to the body, or vagina and lips soft physics configuration options (I think their parameters would be pretty easy to expose). All of these can benefit from the existing code base and implementations and work seamlessly with the TittyMagic and BootyMagic components. Fun stuff to think about!

A few more things to note:

  • The Hub resource for TittyMagic will no longer be updated with new versions, but the resource will stay around to host the legacy TittyMagic downloads, and to direct new users to the BodyMagic resource.
  • In theory, loading the plugins as a single multi-plugin should reduce the performance overhead of running the scripts since less code will be running overall.
  • Having a multi-plugin resource reduces the number of dependencies for looks and scenes that use both plugins, and when using just one of them, it'll still depend on the resource containing the other plugin, making sure both get efficiently distributed to users.
  • The wiki for TittyMagic will be replaced by a BodyMagic wiki that covers both plugins.

What now?

I will take about a one week break to focus on things other than coding, then TittyMagic 6 development will continue as usual, with a few more standalone alpha releases coming. On the other hand, there will be no more BootyMagic standalone alpha releases, instead the next release on that front will be BodyMagic alpha 1.

Stay tuned!

While I'm not happy about price increase, it's understandable. You deserve all the money man, and with the new stuff you've announced, makes me more excited for the future, I'm sure it will be worth it!

there are a couple of vam contributors that i subscribe to. you are (obviously) one of them. i don't plan on changing that any time soon.
