Hello! This is an improved version of the original FloatParamRandomizer that comes with VAM. It's a very handy way to add randomness to pretty much any adjustable value in the scene, cycle forces being a common use case.

A quick demo video in the Hub post: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/floatparamrandomizeree.20883/

Features

  • The transition is smooth both in the beginning and the end - in the original, the transition starts off sharply
  • The amount of smoothness in the transition can be configured with the Curvature slider, allowing a linear transition at 0 and a sharply increasing and decreasing transition at 1
  • Randomness can be disabled so you can simply let the value oscillate between your predefined min and max values
  • Instead of smoothing the transition, you can also bounce it with the Bounce In-Out function, this makes the transition slow in the middle but quick in beginning and the end
  • Improved popups with prev/next arrows (copied from Collider Editor, license MIT)

More features such as additional transition functions could be added later on.

The ability to hook up multiple parameters to be transitioned at the same time using one plugin instance would also be useful. Originally this feature existed in FloatMultiParamRandomizer by HSThrowaway5 who wrote a bunch of plugins in the early days (but that plugin doesn't work in the current VAM version).
