These recently came in through a donation from a viewer (thank you Austin, you rock!). These weird looking gray cylinders are actually lights for the control panels. They are very gray and looking like pushbuttons much more than like indicators, so I had never noticed them before. 

As usual, Mike rummaged through his large collection of drawings and quickly identified them as Lunar Module Caution Lights, and shows us how and where they were wired in the LM control panel. He also found the working voltage - they are actually dimmable, from 2.5V to 5V. 

To our surprise, they are eerily large and uniform when lit, looking much more like modern giant LED indicators than the incandescent lamp they actually are. Not enough to make a full length video about it, but I might post a further edited version of this on the channel nevertheless. It's an interesting tidbit.

Great electrical engineering. I wonder if Grumman used them on other programs?

Nice tech. The higher the voltage you get yellow, but as the voltage decreases you get an "Oh S*" red.
