Hey folks, for a while now I've wanted to create a course to show people how to build generative music systems for the browser the way I do. I wasn't sure how interested people would be, so I've released an "early access" version of it available now on Gumroad. That means it's text-only for now, and requires you to install a program on your computer to run the systems for you. It does not explain how to code or any music theory, so be warned! If you know a little about music and are comfortable writing code, you should be good to go. Otherwise, you're welcome to copy and paste the code and try tinkering around with it.

If you do go through the course, I'd appreciate any feedback you have. Thank you!

Building Generative Music Systems (Early Access)

Hi, my name is Alex Bainter. I've built over 50 unique generative music systems for Generative.fm over the last several years. Generative music plays forever but never repeats itself, and a generative music system is used to generate such music. This course is the introduction I wish I'd had when I started.
