Hello everyone, last year I announced that I'm slowly but surely venturing into the creation of videos. The initial tests have been successful, and I have gained good knowledge, but I'm not completely satisfied with the results yet.

About the video: I put together the video from three individual pieces without any music, sound, or other gimmicks. It's just an initial test to see how the dynamic calculation of clothing works in a video, as well as the creation of videos. I paid particular attention to the frames per second playback. Currently, 35 individual frames were calculated for 1 second. Each of the three individual pieces had a pure rendering time of around 17 hours.

My issues with the video: Firstly, I realize that my computer, despite good hardware, is getting old. Rendering these videos has taken a lot of time, time that I lack to keep up with the ongoing comics if I want to focus more on animations. So, I will have to find a compromise here, which means I will eventually have to invest a large amount of money in a new high-end computer system to maintain both the comics and animations. The system I have in mind currently costs around €5000, a considerable amount of money.

Secondly, I found that while DAZ is a nice program for pure image generation, it has many limitations for animations, which can be partially bypassed with tricks but are sometimes very hidden. So, I will have to build an alternative to DAZ, and at least for now, it will be Blender. I have done some initial tests here, but somehow I am struggling with the handling.

You can find the Test video as attachment.

Let me know what you think.

Oh yeah I've heard Daz is kinda tough to work in 3D with. I'm surprised after all these years they haven't expanded that part of the program more. I think there are ways to port things to blender but I'm not the expert here just have friends who have worked in both

That is true - there is a Daz Blender Bridge to import figures, props and enviroments.
