Problems with CreditCard payment? (Patreon)

My dear friends and supporters,

this morning I received a few messages from some of my Patrons that worries me, why I want to keep you informed.

I was told that Patreon, for whatever reason, has refused payment via credit card for the coming month.

I know the phenomena from DeviantArt too, first they refused to take my card. I tried it two times, then I finished to try it. Two days later I tried again and everything runs smoothly.

• I can only recommend you to try it here, too, if you should have problems with your card. 
• I also advise you to contact the Patreon help desk, usually the Patreon team answers very quickly and competently. 
• Another step would be to talk to your bank. (very important)

New rules have been introduced, so recently all artists who offer adult content (including me here) had to verify that we really are adults via a third party provider. With photo and ID - we refuse, the money would not be transferred.

It may therefore be that banks now require a one-time OK before payments to Patreon are initiated. For this I have searched out an article from Patreon itself.
