2023-02-23 12:53:29 Eeeek! Rhianna and C! The memories that came up for me with this! My labour with my eldest was horrendous. my poor husband kept ringing the hospital just like cardlin, wanting to bring me in for pain relief and I dunno what it's like elsewhere, but here in the UK, you have to be practically chewing the carpet before they let you in… "take a couple of paracetamol and have a hot bath" yeah…cos that's going to make all the difference isn't it?! 😒 2 days!!! 2 f*kin days I was in labour!😱 it was traumatising for both me and my husband as I vomited after every contraction (how my body deals with extreme pain and a reaction to both the diamorphine and the gas & air they gave me when I finally went in) and then i almost died, and my husband said he just felt completely helpless as there was nothing he could do, it just unfolded in front of him. It's been 11 years…you'd think I'd be over it by now but…ooof it all came flooding right back🙁
